The Menu Bar

The Menu Bar consists of a number of features that have predominantly technical and administrative uses. As such, they are not instrumental in interacting with the web applications.

The Left- and Right-Hand (Navigation) Panels

The functions of the web client can be accessed via their respective icons. You can change the location of the icons via drag-and drop so the functions are always accessible exactly where you need them for your project.

  • Project Navigator (grafik-20241127-105958.png-icon): This area lists your projects with their associated files.

  • PSS (Project System Structure, grafik-20241127-112934.png-icon): the PSS offers a different view of your projects, comparable to the PSS view in the SOX Rich Client. It displays project files created within the RCP environment, which are available for reuse or reference by the web application.

Files of suitable type can be dragged and dropped from the PSS to the SOX main panel

  • Catalogs (grafik-20241127-113137.png-icon): Public and System catalogs can be found here.

  • Context Cell Editors (grafik-20241127-115007.png-, grafik-20241127-115023.png-, and grafik-20241127-115039.png-icon): The Context Cell Editors allow you to add reviews, comments, tasks and hyperlinks to cells in the HARA and TARA.

Sign, Export, Add Row, and Help

These three controls are grouped near the right-hand edge of the screen.

  • Sign (grafik-20241127-124253.png-Icon): Generate a .png file with your signature to confirm documents such as reports generated in the web-based Report Designer.

  • CSV-Export (left grafik-20241127-124902.png-icon): Export your current project as CSV-file

  • XLSL-Export (right grafik-20241127-125107.png-icon): Export your current project as a .xlsx file

  • Add a Row (grafik-20241127-125436.png-icon): Add a new row in a HARA or TARA file or in a catalog.

  • Help (grafik-20241127-125605.png-icon): Open the SOX Help Center

Customizing the Interface

Tabs and Panels

Individual GUI elements can be rearranged within the web interface. Via drag-and-drop, you can display multiple windows next to and ontop of each other.

Rearranging Columns

  • To pin a column to the left or right of a table, click the grafik-20241128-074132.png-icon on the relevant column and select Pin Column > Pin Left / Pin Right.

Selecting Pin Column > No Pin reverts to the default layout, undoing the change.

  • Autosizing: the Autosize This Column and Autosize All Columns options on the grafik-20241128-074537.png-menu will set the current column width or all column widths to a system-determined value.

  • Group by <parameter>: sorts your entries in descending alphabetical order (the Group by behavior works analogously for other columns/parameters than this example case)

  • Reset Columns: restores the default layout

Searches and Filters

  • Search: the system supports searches across all module categories and subcategories (incompletely displayed in the screenshot below, which again uses the TARA example). Use the Search facility to show vs. hide columns selected by your search criteria.

  • Filters: a number of options are available to filter any kind of table entries.

  • Search: Use checkboxes or free text search to filter for specific objects
