Classifying Malfunctions and Functions

You can add a classification to a cause of failure. If you do so, the classification is shown in the corresponding column of the form sheet.

Adding a classification:

1. Right-click on a function or malfunction.

   Open

   

2. Select the classification or click on Select… - Outcome: the "Properties for Malfunction" dialog will open.

   Open

   

3. Choose one of the following: NC: Not classified, S: Safety compliant, CC: Critical characteristic, PC: Potential critical characteristic, SC: Significant characteristic, PSC: Potential significant characteristic.

4. Click OK.

Outcome: a classification has been added.
