A module represents a collection of requirements. However, as a requirement needs to be assigned to a module, the creation of module is mandatory.

If not already available, open the Hierarchy View in the SOX client via Help → Show View → Other… → Requirements → Hierarchy
Right-click in the hierarchy viewHierarchy View.
Choose Select New > New Module. - Outcome: the The dialog "New module" will open.
Enter a name for the module.
Optionally, enter a description.
Click on Browse to choose a module type or create a new one by clicking on the plus symbol.
Click on Finish .
