Linking Requirements with Other SOX ELEMENTS

Requirements can be linked with other SOX elements. For example, a requirement can be assigned
to a system element.

Prerequisite: A requirement and a system element have been created. The RM Editor and the PSS
view are active.

  1. Select the desired requirement.

  2. Drag and drop it from the RM Editor onto the desired element in the PSS view.

Outcome: The linked element will be marked with a “requirement” symbol (capital 'R') and the requirement will be added to the element in the PSS view.

The safety level will propagate if a safety goal is associated with the element that was linked to a requirement.

The following elements can be linked to requirements:

  • BOM modules

  • System elements

  • Functions/malfunctions

  • Safety goals.

Linking Requirements with Each Other

You can link requirements in the Respository- as well as in the Hierarchy view.

To do so, hold CRTL + Shift and drag one requirement on top of the other. The grafik-20241121-120103.png -icon indicates that the link will be created upon releasing your mouse.
