Creating Events

Prerequisites: An FTA document is selected, the FTA editor is active and gates were created.

To the right of the editor, click on the desired Event.
Click on a gate in the editor. - Outcome: the event dialog will open.
Choose a name for the event.
Write a description (optional).
If necessary change the status of the event.
Type in the component life time in hours. This will influence the probability calculations!
Click on Color... to adjust a Background color.
Choose Local Failure model to create a new failure rate value or choose Document to use a manually created failure model.
If necessary choose a Common Cause Failure (CCF).
Click on OK.

Outcome: an event was created.
