Failure Mode Catalogs

SOX provides the IEC62380 and Birolini failure mode catalogs, which contain failure mode types
and failure modes. They are implemented as part of the SOX installation. The catalogs are stored in the System folder in the Catalogs view.
The Failure mode catalogs view displays all failure mode catalogs from the System and Public folder.
Use this view to assign failure modes to components by dragging and dropping. It is possible in this manner concurrently to select multiple components (using the CTRL key, for example), assigning the same failure mode to each of them.
Different catalogs can be selected using the ‘downward triangle’ icon.
Catalogs in this view the cannot be edited. Use the Public folder in the Catalogs view for creating,
importing and editing catalogs.
Failure rate and failure mode catalogs in the System folder cannot be edited.
