Exemplary Method for Designing the System Structure with
SysML 1.4
Prerequisite: A SOX Project was created and opened.
Right-click on SysML 1.4 model in the Model Explorer view.
Choose New Diagram > SysML 1.4 Block Definition. - Outcome: A name dialog window will open.
Choose a name for the diagram.
Click OK. - Outcome: The Diagram Editor will open.
Left-click on SystemElement.
Left-click inside the editor. - Outcome: A system element was created.
The name of the objects can be edited directly after they have been created, in the properties
view or using the shortcut function key F2.
Define the system structure:
Use the PartAssociation connectors to define the system structure hierarchy.
Left-click to select a connector. (PartAssociation)
Left-click to select a parent SystemElement.
Left-click to select a child SystemElement.
